Usage Guidelines and Technical Specs
Recommended Usage Guidelines:
Due to the lower impedance and greater power need for these full-range speakers, it is our recommendation to use two speakers per caller unit, split to one speaker per side/channel. This would apply to the Overkill HD, Snomad XD, as well as the FoxPro Super Snow Crow Pro.
In the field, we recommend using the Ground Work 360 speakers to add wide-range general snow goose sound as well and using a set around the shooters so you can direct where you want the birds to finish.

FAQ
The Ground Work 360 Speaker is compatible with leading premium e-caller units such as the Snows Down Low Overkill HD and Snows Down Low Snomad, and also the Fox Pro Super Snow Crow Pro.
Due to the nature of the speaker design and power requirements, we recommend using a maximum of two Ground Work 360 Speakers per caller, one per side/channel. This ensures proper power delivery and optimal sound quality while staying within common and safe operating specifications of the caller units.
Compared to our XD horn speaker, the Ground Work 360 will be quieter. Standing next to just the Ground Work 360 Speaker, it has very good volume comparable to high-end personal speakers. However, perceived volume will depend on wind (reduces volume), e-caller, audio input (phone or MP3 player) and number of speakers deployed.
Absolutely! There are many scenarios where the sound quality, sound level, and extended sound coverage area produced by the Ground Work 360 Speakers will be plenty for you to have a successful hunt. But, there are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Huge spreads and windy days may require more sound. This can be achieved by using a horn speaker setup for your main “pulling” volume, and then turn the horn system down once the birds are heading your way and let the Ground Work 360s finish them off. Or, if you have multiple Ground Work 360 Speakers working together, you’ll have more sound available on those windy days.
2. The rules sound wave interference. Constructive interference increases sound levels, similar to why 50,000 geese on a pond is louder than a single goose on the same pond. By using more speakers making the same sounds – even with each speaker at the same volume – collectively those speakers will overall create a louder sound while maintaining the realism and quality the Ground Work 360 offers.
3. Snow geese can definitely be affected by too much volume. Particularly with horn speakers, the focused volume can be quite loud and unnatural. With every field, spread, and conditions of the day, the volume will need to be adjusted. Good eye! The Ground Work 360 Speaker enclosure is in fact 3D printed right here in Nebraska. We think 3D printing is a good thing, and chose 3D printing over other manufacturing methods to keep cost down, value up, and allow for rapid development iterations which enables us to immediately respond to your feedback and make an improvement on the very next part. Traditional manufacturing methods are much more costly and time-consuming.
That said, at this point in manufacturing we’re still perfecting the production method and making improvements to the materials and methods we use. We’re humble and know there is always room to improve. Rest assured, if there’s an issue, we want to know about it and we’ll take care of it.
We’ve put a lot of thought into the price point on the Ground Work 360 Speakers, and while they’re more costly than other snow goose e-caller speakers, we’re confident that we’re providing an exceptional value for the cost. Here’s why:
1. Traditional manufacturing costs. To get injection molds made would cost $10,000-20,000 or more and have higher part MOQ requirements to get cost down near what we can make them for now, in-house, faster.
2. Ongoing R&D. We’re continually working to improve the Ground Work 360 system’s sound and function. This means time spent researching sound, physics, working with 3D modeling software, and making prototypes to prove theories.
3. Supply & Demand. We’re intentional with the work we do and won’t rush quality for the sake of making a sale. This means we’ll likely have a limited supply of Ground Work 360 Speakers available and need to manage that supply and cost together.
4. Premium Components. The premium speaker driver, stainless hardware, durable cable and premium audio connectors provide the level of quality we want and we’re not willing to compromise on that for lower cost.
5. Cool Stuff Ain’t Cheap. And Cheap Stuff Ain’t Cool. Or good.
